The most common type of bus is the single-decker bus, with larger loads carried by double-decker buses and articulated buses, and smaller loads carried by midibuses and minibuses; coaches are...

 operating companies listed by country, with countries placed alphabetically by continent and country. This list includes companies operating now. For exceedingly long lists, please create separate pages for the given country and link to them here.

When possible, please divide a country's bus operating companies by the nature of their operations.
Operations can be logically divided by defining attributes such as:

• Ownership: private or public?
• Primary function: commuter service, school buses, tours/event buses, or bus charters?
• Area served: cross-national, cross-provincial, or a single province?
• Activity: Is the bus company currently in operation?
