Format

The format of the show is nearly identical to that of Mastermind, using the same famous theme music and black chair, although the questions are easier. Contestants answer two minutes of questions on a specialist subject followed by two minutes of questions on general knowledge. The contestant with the highest total score is the winner. Whereas in Mastermind, heat winners advance to a semi-final round and then to the final, Celebrity Mastermind winners are given a trophy at the end of every programme and a new contest takes place the following episode.
