Linda Papadopoulos is a Cypriot-Canadian psychologist

In 2010 she was commissioned by the home office to write a review on the effects of sexualisation on young people. The review provided recommendations for government some which have already been implemented- the review is available on line.
On 3 June 2010 she appeared on BBC One's political programme This Week to discuss the recent shooting spree in Cumbria, carried out by Derrick Bird. In the programme, she offered opinions about the psychopathology of Derrick Bird. However, at the time of broadcast Dr Papadopoulos had never met, diagnosed, viewed the medical records of, or carried out a psychological autopsy on Derrick Bird. Her pronouncements on the issue are best considered as generalities rather than specifics (this is not, of course, a judgement of Dr Papadopoulos or her qualifications, only to inform the reader as to the specificity of the statements made in the programme).
