The tour kicked off in Evansville, Indiana
on April 23, 2009 at Roberts Stadium
. In honor of the kickoff of the sold-out tour, Swift was presented the key to the city of Evansville and the City Council President declared Wednesday, April 23, 2009 Taylor Swift Day.
The tour features a theatrical presentation of graphics, sets and visual elements all designed by Swift herself. The show runs more than 90 minutes and showcases Swift playing five different guitars as well as the piano. The show features multiple costume changes and a fairy-tale castle illuminated by more than a million lumens of light.
In late June, a new tour date was announced for November 23 at the Wembley Arena
in London. However it has become apparent that neither Kellie Pickler nor Gloriana will be joining her on the UK part of the tour. Taylor Swift announced another date in the UK at the Manchester Evening News Arena
on November 24. This was the final and second tour date in the UK. The shows at Wembley
and Manchester
will be the only two concerts for the Fearless Tour in Europe. It was announced later that singer Justin Bieber
would join Swift on the two UK dates. While performing at Wembley Arena, Bieber broke his foot while he performed the opening lines of "One Time", but still finished the song. Despite his injury, Bieber confirmed that he would still perform in Manchester with Swift the following day, although the Wembley concert was cut short as he could not perform the encore. Bieber then went on to perform at the Manchester performance with an encore, he sang "With You" a cover of the original version from Chris Brown. Following a 10 minute applause after she had sung "Tim McGraw", Swift told the Manchester audience "Everytime I hear the word Manchester, I won't be able to stop smiling...I love you!". According to a German
magazine, Swift was supposed to play three shows in Germany. However, tickets for those concerts never went on sale.
On September 30, it was announced that Swift would return to Australia in February 2010 to play another series of concerts, but now in arenas. On October 8, it was announced that the tour would be extended through June 2, 2010 to include 37 additional shows in North America. It has been confirmed that Justin Bieber will be performing at the Gillette Stadium on June 5, 2010 with Swift.

Opening acts
Concert Sypnosis
After a large red curtain parts, dancers in cheerleading outfits dance on the stage as Taylor comes up on the upper-stage wearing a band outfit to sing "You Belong With Me". After the second verse, Taylor walks down a set of stairs and sings some of the bridge before two background dancers rip off the band uniform to reveal a shimmering black and white dress. Taylor then finishes "You Belong With Me" and talks to the audience for a few minutes. She then begins "Our Song". After she ends this song, she talks once again to the audience before performing "Tell Me Why" with some background dancers and some of her band. After this she walks up a set of stairs to the upper stage to sit at a desk that has been placed there. A male background dancer sits on the other side while Taylor talks about her song "Teardrops on my Guitar". She begins to sing the song and while she sings, the male dancer and a female dancer dance at the lower part of the stage. Then Taylor gets her Taylor 12 string guitar to sing "Fearless". After this performance, she makes a heart with her hands as lights fade and the curtains close. The curtains then open again a few minutes later to an interlude showing Taylor talking to an interviewer on a giant screen. After Taylor says "They shouldn't do bad things", the saying repeats until Taylor is revealed on the stage wearing a red sparkly mini dress while sitting on a red chair. A background dancer who resembles the interviewer in the video sits in another chair facing Taylor. Taylor sings the first and second verse of "Forever and Always" while sitting in the chair. During the second time she sings the chorus, the 'interviewer' runs off stage. Taylor stands up to sing a high note and then throws the interviewer's chair onto the lower stage. Taylor makes her way down a set of stairs too the end of the stage to sing the end of the song. She ends the song while sitting on the steps as the curtains close once again. The curtains part to show Taylor in a blue dress and holding a guitar. She smiles and makes her way through the crowd to a smaller stage in the middle of the the arena and begins to sing "Hey Stephen". She then runs through the crowd again to the main stage where the curtains then close. The curtains part again to reveal Taylor wearing a purple dress. SHe makes her way back to the mini stage and sings "White Horse" and "Fifteen". She then gets her Taylor 12 string guitar and talks to the crowd before singing "Tim McGraw". She makes her way through the crowd again and when she gets to the stage, she finishes the song and the lights dim. A small curtain is closed on the upper part of the stage after the lights come back on. A few couples wearing 20's costumes dance around during a small tune. They stop and "Love Story" begins while the curtain is raised. Taylor appears wearing a red 20's dress and she sings the first verse in the same spot. She then makes her way down the steps and during the bridge, the dancers surround her and when she emerges, she is wearing a white gown. She sings the rest of the song. At the end of the song, The dancers stop dancing while Taylor leaves by a trap-door. The curtains then close. When they open again, Taylor appears on the top part of the stage while wearing a black and gold dress. The song "That's The Way I Loved You" begins and during the beginning she walks down the stairs. During this song, she walks around with a male dancer, sometimes dancing with him. After this song the lights dim and when they come on again, Taylor is sitting at a black grand piano to sing "Your Not Sorry". This song was altered to feature "What Goes Around...Comes Around" by Justin Timberlake. The song slowly ends with the verse "Boy you got what you deserved". She then talks to the audience before going into "Picture to Burn" while fire shows on the backgrounds. She then talks once again to the audience, telling them how it's not hard to be fearless like her. She then sings "Change". After this the lights dim and the curtains close. They open again to reveal Taylor wearing a black dress. She sings "I'm Only Me When I'm With You". During the song she brings out her fellow tour guests Gloriana and Kellie Pickler. Confetti falls at the end of this performance while her tour guests leave the stage. You then see a background dancer come out next to Taylor. She gives Taylor a black electric guitar to sing the first verse of "Should've Said No". During the bridge, Taylor and the background dancer make their way up to the upper stage to beat of a set of garbage cans used as drums. They do a small interlude until Taylor then goes down the set of stairs and begins to sing the bridge. During this part of the song, 'rain' begins to fall in the middle of the stage to replay her performance at the AMA's. After the bridge, Taylor puts herself under the water to sing the last part of the song. The song keep going after the singing stops while Taylor waves and makes the heart sign with her hands. The song slowly ends as Taylor steps out of the rain near the set of stairs as the curtain closes and confetti falls.Set list
