communications systems for the global railway industry. Its mission statement is to design, develop, manufacture, integrate, commission and support Mobile Radio and Dispatcher products that are delivered to the rail market worldwide as an end-2-end solution. The business has 20 year's experience delivering radio infrastructure and control centre projects in the UK, as well as supplying on-train radio solutions across the world.

Products include:
  • Fixed Dispatcher Terminal (FDT) : A dispatcher solution for large control centres with high voice and train traffic loads. Integrated console with touch screen, plus handset/gooseneck microphone options. Supports multiple languages. Can connect to any GSM-R network via Siemens HiPath PABX system.
  • Radio Dispatcher Terminal (RDT) : A dispatcher solution suited to smaller control centres.
  • Controller Server : Provides further functionality when integrated with a GSM-R dispatcher system. Maintains a dynamic list of trains under control of the dispatcher, enables text-messaging using functional numbers, provides centralised configuration management and fault monitoring.
  • Acknowledgement Centre : Receives and records notifications from the GSM-R system, for example detailing emergency calls that have been made. Information can then be made available for post-incident analysis.
  • Voice Radios : The latest models are the SVR-400 (for international market) and the SVR-401 (for the UK). These GSM-R voice radios come in two parts, the radio itself and either one or two MMIs/DCPs (Man-Machine Interfaces/Driver Control Panels), both of which can be installed on any train. Text-based or colour graphical interfaces are available depending on user requirements. Different alphabets and languages can be supported.

ETCS Data Radios - Provides data communication with the ETCS signalling system. Provides for transmission of movement authorities from the Radio Block Centre (RBC) to the train. An in-cab display allows the driver to control the train without reference to track-side signals.
