The World Model United Nations (WorldMUN) is an annual traveling Model United Nations
conference for college students run by Harvard
undergraduates and a team from a local university from the host city. Dubbed the "Olympics of Model UN", WorldMUN moves to a new international city each year and attracts 2,000 college and graduate students from more than 60 countries, making it the largest traveling collegiate-level Model UN conference in the world.
Over the past two decades, WorldMUN has traveled to 19 cities in five continents, including The Hague in the Netherlands; Puebla, Mexico; Geneva, Switzerland; Beijing, China; Edinburgh, United Kingdom; Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt; Heidelberg, Germany; and Belo Horizonte, Brazil. WorldMUN 2011 was held between March 14-18, 2011 in Singapore
. The conference lasts one week in March and combines committee sessions during the day with nightly social events. WorldMUN was founded in 1991 and is the only traveling Model UN conference in existence.
For 2012, Vancouver, Canada has won the bid to host the 21st Harvard WorldMUN. The conference will be held from March 11-15, 2012.

- Participants are assigned to represent countries, organizations, or leaders in order to debate pressing international issues in a simulated session of an intergovernmental organization (IGO).

- WorldMUN's social events are pivotal to the WordMUN experience.
- Global Village: Every year, WorldMUN starts off its social agenda with Global Village. This is the first opportunity for delegates to meet each other in a social setting. Delegations will be able to host a booth, where they can share traditions, delicacies, and more from their home countries.
- Featured night: Designed by the Host Team of the year for participants to experience the host city's local culture.
- Cabaret: Also a WorldMUN tradition, delegates will showcase their talents on stage in Cabaret on the third night.
- Featured night: Designed by the Host Team of the year for participants to experience the host city's local culture.
- Farewell Party: Traditionally, WorldMUN closes with the craziest social event of all five, the Farewell Party.
