. It is the avenue with the most boutiques in Mexico City, where the local jet-set supply themselves. In addition to its boutiques, -- from Armani to Zara -- and jewelers such as Cartier, Bulgari and Tiffany's, some of the most expensive restaurants in Mexico City are found along this avenue.

In 1999 the city of Prague donated a statue of Masaryk to Mexico city, one of the two originals made when the statue for the Castle of Prague was being prepared. The statue was placed in the roundabout at the intersection of Av. Presidente Masaryk and Arquímedes on 28 October 2000, on the Czech National Day.

Incorrect names

Due to its long history, the name of the street is often used and often deformed. Even on the local shop names you can see incorrect names like "Mazarik" or "Mazaryk". The city of Mexico decided to correct the names under its control in 2000 (street, highway and other signs), but the incorrect names remained on some of the local shops.
