Note that some of these satellites are separated from each other by as little as 1/10th of a degree longitude

The major consideration for spacing of geostationary satellites is the beamwidth at-orbit of uplink transmitters, which is primarily a factor of the size and stability of the uplink dish, as well as what frequencies the satellite's transponder
