Customer service

TechnologyOne is one of the few enterprise solution vendors that does not use third parties to represent or sell its products. TechnologyOne operates what it calls the Power of One business model, taking total responsibility for the success of every customer’s investment. By developing, selling, implementing and supporting its own software solutions, TechnologyOne provides its customers with a single supplier and one service point of contact, and claims to guarantee the success of each customer’s implementation.

TechnologyOne also works in close partnership with its customers to gain constant feedback, which is then included in new releases. TechnologyOne’s latest technology release, TechnologyOne Mobility, has involved working with a number of local councils in Australia

With each new generation of software, TechnologyOne has migrated all its customers to the platform, for no additional licence fees.

Connected Intelligence

In 2005, TechnologyOne launched its latest technology platform, Connected Intelligence, a platform that combines internet with client–server technology. This new platform ensures upgrades are rolled out quickly and provides the ability to tailor information to individual users. The Connected Intelligence platform has also significantly cut down the need to train existing and new staff, as the internet-based solution is both familiar and easy to use. With the Connected Intelligence platform now developed and implemented, TechnologyOne staff have begun research on the next generation product, “NextGen”, which will build on the Connected Intelligence platform.

Cloud Computing

In late 2010, announced its intention to bring its cloud computing platform to market.

The new TechnologyOne Cloud Computing Suite (called TechnologyOne C2) will be built, hosted and delivered in the cloud - a markedly different approach from other vendors, which are building cloud strategies around existing architecture (‘cloud washing strategy’). Depending on customers’ requirements, they will have the option of hosting their software externally on the cloud or internally using their existing infrastructure.
The new cloud strategy will mean a radical restructure of TechnologyOne’s business and will make it one of the only Australian-owned software providers to embrace cloud technology wholeheartedly.

TechnologyOne already delivers its Connected Intelligence (Ci) solutions in the cloud, but to take advantage of all the benefits of cloud technology, the software vendor is completely restructuring its business model and re-engineering its software from the ground up.

The first of TechnologyOne’s new C2 cloud services will be delivered in 2011, following an internal pilot.

TechnologyOne Executive Chairman, Adrian Di Marco, said TechnologyOne still recognised there were concerns about security from customers.
To alleviate these concerns, TechnologyOne plans to have data centres located both in Australia and offshore.
