Controversies
The airline and pilot denied a group of 22 hearing impaired passengers to board a flight from Marseille to Turkey for "security reasons". The airline argued that they were not notified ahead of time, stating that deaf and disabled passengers require additional cabin crew. A spokesperson explained that it was not the airlines intent to discriminate the passengers and that it was solely a security concern. The group of passengers is seeking to file a human rights complaint with the authorities. Members of several institutions have come forward to stress that deaf individuals are to be treated as those who don't speak the airlines main language and that they are able to follow security instructions and travel autonomously.External links
