Top 100 US Federal Contractors
Encyclopedia
The Top 100 Contractors Report is a list developed annually by the U.S. General Services Administration as part of its tracking of U.S. federal government procurement.
The Top 100 Contractors Report for Fiscal Year 2009 lists contracts totalling $294.6 billion (2008: $303.7 billion). In the same period, small business contracts totalled $96.8 billion (2008: $92.1 billion).
Federal Procurement Reports provide contract data that may be used for geographical, market, and socio-economic analysis, as well as for measuring and assessing the impact of acquisition policy and management improvements.
In Fiscal Year 2010, the top five departments by dollars obligated were the Department of Defense
($365.9 billion), Department of Energy
($25.7 billion), Health and Human Services ($19.0 billion), General Services Administration
($17.6 billion), and NASA
($16.0 billion).
In addition to the consolidated federal totals, the Top 100 Contractors Report includes worksheets listing the top hundred contractors by department and agency.
