Daniel Gimeno-Traver is a professional Spanish tennis player who turned professional in 2004, when he was eighteen years old.
Son of Javier, a chemist and Marisol, a nurse, Gimeno-Traver is the second of four brothers, Carlos, Miguel and Victor being his siblings.
He started playing tennis at the age of two and won the European Championships in 2003 beating Marcos Baghdatis
in Switzerland
, winning a further 5 junior titles to reach No.4 in the World. He also beat Marko Djokovic on the way to a Quarter-Final place at Roland Garos, losing to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
