From there Harris spent four more years at the collegiate level with Irvine Valley College and then California Baptist University. Along with University coaching responsibilities Everton Football Club added Harris to their International Football Development team in 2008 and continued within the position through 2011. Harris is currently the Head Coach and Technical Director with Capital City FC of Ottawa within the professional first division of the Canadian Soccer League

to serve as their men's soccer head coach. Harris started coaching at the high school level on the women's side with back to back postseason appearances and a CIF-SS semi-final appearance. The immediate success allowed him the opportunity to move back to the men's side and a head coaching position. Harris produced 4 straight post season appearances for only the second time in school history and 2001 was the first post season appearance in six years for the program. A century league title in 2002 and runner-ups in 2003 and 2004 never losing in the first round of the playoffs and reaching as far as a quarter final appearance in 2003. Harris remains the second winningest coach in Canyon High School men’s soccer history with a .729 winning percentage and is the most successful men’s coach at Canyon High School
in his tenure. Harris' acclaim to high school success was in the winter of 2002 when he was responsible for founding and developing the West Coast High School Classic. The national showcase event became the countries only and most exclusive High School event within soccer, an invitation only event allowing the best teams in the United States opportunity to compete in front of college and professional coaches. Many of the participating players and teams went on to greater success after competing within the "best of the best." The WCHSC event sponsored by such corporate partners as adidas

and resorts and jetblue. The event took on a philanthropic approach promoting awareness to such causes as grassroot soccer, kicks against breast cancer and US soccer foundation in 2004.
