Suspension of publication

Pacific Magazine suspended all operations on January 1, 2009 after 32 years of continuous publication, either in print or online. The magazine's publisher, Floyd Takeuchi, cited the ongoing global financial crisis for the suspension. Takeuchi stated that he expected the financial crisis to continue for the foreseeable future, making the company unable to continue publication "at the same level of quality."
