Japanese version of Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (from DSP) includes the unofficial Nanami Madobe mascot. This inspired Microsoft Taiwan to launch an official mascot for Microsoft Silverlight, Hikaru. This was followed up by giving Hikaru 'sisters', Lei, Aoi, and Yu.
