The airline was established in July 1998 and began operations on July 2, 1999 with domestic services from Jorge Chávez International Airport

As of August 1, 2006, LAN Peru merged first and business classes of service into a single class, named Premium Business.

. This class has 12 seats with more legroom than the standard economy class and a hot meal.

Economy Class

Economy class is offered on all of LAN's Boeing 767's with a 2-3-2 and Airbus A319's with a 3-3 configuration. This class was also renovated in 2006 it includes regulable headrests and footrests, along with seats that recline and slide.

Livery

, and changed the previous livery that contained the name "LAN Peru". Today's livery is a white background, and a blue part of the rear area of the airliner. The tail of the airplane is designed with a white star and a red line below it representing the flag of Chile, the father airline. Below the white star is a red line to represent the two main colors of the Peruvian flag as a secondary Peruvian carrier.

Destinations

LAN Peru serves 21 international destinations to North America, South America, Europe and the Caribbean as well as 14 domestic destinations. On July 1, 2010 LAN Peru became the first South American airline to fly to San Francisco non-stop. Perviously, the Brazilian airline Varig used to operate the route with a technical stop in Los Angeles.

LANPASS

LANPASS is LAN Peru's Frequent Flyer Program, shared with the parent company LAN Airlines. There are currently over two million members in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Canada and the United States. The program goes under three stages of benefits of LAN Peru and Oneworld which include Oneworld Ruby or Premium, Oneworld Sapphire or Premium Silver and Oneworld Emerald or Commodore.

The LANPASS Program has four membership categories:
