Arguru to develop the first version, which was released for Windows in May of 2007. After Arguru died in a car accident in June of 2007, future versions were worked on by the Image-Line developers Arguru had been cooperating with, many of whom are also DJs. Deckadance was made compatible with Mac OSX after the release of version 1.20.0 in January of 2008. The most recent release is version 1.9 from May 24, 2011.

Both modes allow for scratching
