in only 36 seconds against Tommy Depret at Ultimate Glory 12. It was considered quite a big upset considering that Bielkheden owns a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while his opponent has no formal background in grappling.

On the 29th of April Bielkheden got a two year suspension from competing in MMA by the athletic commission for having the illegal substance methylhexanamine in his body. David appealed the suspension and got it reduced to 6 months and can start competing again October 28th.
