Curtain Call: The Hits was released 9 years after Eminem's first studio album, Infinite.

A song titled "Nail In The Coffin", was recorded in 2003, the song was removed from the albums tracklist, for an unknown reason. Curtain Call: The Hits debuted at number 1 in the UK Albums Chart

It also gave Eminem his fifth straight number 1 album in the US and UK when including the 8 Mile soundtrack
