In 1935, Siberian Institute of Soviet law was renamed as Sverdlovsk Law Institute, and finally in 1937, Siberian Institute of Soviet Law has received a new name - the Sverdlovsk Law Institute (SUI). During this period, the institute has worked major legal scholars of the country that left its mark in legal science: Professor V. Durdenevsky, S.F. Kechekyan, B.A. Landau, B.B. Cherepakhin, K.S. Science

Scientists, professors and graduate students of the Academy participate in international, national and regional conferences and seminars. Ural State Law Academy is the organizer of the traditional scientific-methodical conferences, they are attended by representatives of leading Russian and foreign universities. Every year in April are "Days of Science" in which, carried out scientific-practical conference. It is attended by representatives of federal and regional governments, representatives of foreign countries, as well as representatives of Russian universities. Become a good tradition of annual "Days of Science student and student-Russian scientific-practical conference" The Evolution of Russian law. " Academy for several years is a basic high school All-Russian open contest of student research papers in Law conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science. Since 1993, the Academy together with the Ministry of Justice publishes scientific-theoretical and practical information and publication of the Russian Law Journal, included the Bureau of HAC Russia's list of the leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications, which should be published in major scientific results of dissertations for academic degrees doctor and candidate of legal sciences. In addition, the Academy together with the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation and St. Petersburg University publishes the Yearbook of civil and arbitration process, Magazines Business, Management and Law, Russian Law: education, practice, science and other publications.

Scientific Library USLA - as old school. For 75 years the library has turned into one of the largest book depositories of city legal literature. The library fund has about one million copies. It includes a foundation of literature in Russian, with the earliest books of which date back to the XVIII century. Foreign fund has works by many prominent members of the legal science in Western Europe. There is also a fund works of art, a coffee fund. Pride Library - a collection of priceless rare books and manuscripts relating to the XVII century. It includes legal and political writings in Latin, bound in leather and parchment.

International Relations

International relations USLA promote academic mobility and the development of joint research projects. Ural State Law Academy maintains and develops relationships with a number of leading universities in Europe, USA, CIS. Become traditional seminars, summer schools to study German, French and European law, the protection of theses in both Russian and foreign languages, have become regular training of teachers and students abroad, lecturing professor at the Academy at foreign universities and visits of foreign professors at the Academy.

Since 2007, the Association of Lawyers of Russia conducts on the basis of USLA Eurasian congress with the participation of legal scholars and practitioners, representatives of government and law enforcement experts from various fields of law, representatives of universities and public organizations not only from Russia but from other countries. Congress intended to become an authoritative and internationally recognized forum for broad exchange of views on the full range of legal issues for a comprehensive discussion of actual problems of the legal development of the entire Eurasian legal space.

Alumni

Over the years Ural State Law Academy trained over 60,000 highly qualified professionals. Graduates of the university made a major contribution to the state and legal construction, the work of the judiciary and the judicial system, the development of the legal profession and notaries, banking, insurance, investment activities, as well as legal research and education.
