When Pop Idol fever reached Kazakhstan in 2003, she entered the competition and reached the final twelve easily. Astonishingly, she was eliminated in the seventh round in January 2004.
She immediately started working at her musical career, with the help of producer Erik Tastembekov. Apart from a brief return to Superstars.KZ, she spent 2004 producing video clips and developing a working collaboration with Ivan Breusov, a native of Almaty

, she sang a song by him ("Была ли любовь" "Was it love?") and in an autumn video both sang together in "Ноябрь" (November).

. Though the expert jury had only put her in eighth place, she received the prize of the popular jury and on her return, was treated as a national hero in Kazakhstan. Her first music album after this (Первый поцелуй, First Kiss) again in collaboration with Ivan Breusov, was an instant success.
She has also sung and performed with the group 101, with Dilnaz Akhmadieva
and with Evgenyi Zhumanov.
She claims to have been influenced by Anastacia
