The Board is responsible for the key strategic direction and corporate development of the organisation.
The ACE Advisory Group guides the board on strategic matters and provides it with political and industry connections. The group consists of highly positioned individuals from a wide range of backgrounds representing politics, government, education, media, legal and financial institutions, as well as professional and industrial bodies and client interests.
ACE’s regional groups across the United Kingdom provide local members with a networking point and help to ensure the sharing of regional best practice. Established groups cover Scotland

, while further groups for London and the South, the North West, the North East, Yorkshire
, the South West and the Midlands are being developed.
In the first decade of the twenty-first century, there have been major reforms of ACE as an organisation. Extensive consultation with members, clients, government and others has enabled the organisation to redefine and restate its presence. It has also better defined its objectives and how it will achieve them. ACE’s structure supports the core value of promoting the industry by giving a voice to its members.

ACE’s committees provide operational advice on finance, membership and legal matters whilst specially created task forces will focus on stakeholder and member relations, vision, value and remit and benchmarking and best practice.
