History
Arconciel is first mentioned in 1082 as castrum Arconciacum. The municipality was formerly known by its German name Ergenzach, however, that name is no longer used.Geography
Arconciel has an area, , of 6.2 square kilometre. Of this area, 3.53 square kilometre or 57.2% is used for agricultural purposes, while 1.88 square kilometre or 30.5% is forested.
