Paris Saint-Germain announced that Qatar Investment Authority
bought a controlling 70% stake in the club from, now minority, shareholder Colony Capital, who retained 29% of the capital club. Butler Capital Partners
maintained their 1% share of the club while Association PSG held one share. The partners worked together to build on Colony Capital's achievements over the last five years in the club, to enhance its visibility and pre-eminence. Sébastien Bazin, chair of the club's supervisory board and head of Colony Capital in Europe, assured that with the new partner, Paris Saint-Germain would ensure their growth and long-term prospects. Qatar Investment Authority officially became the majority shareholder of Paris Saint-Germain and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi presented a five-year plan to take PSG to the top of the tree, in France and abroad. Rumours linked the new owners to big names such as Kaká
, Dimitar Berbatov
and Samuel Eto'o
, but Al-Khelaïfi wanted the stars of tomorrow. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi outlined the new owners' long-term plans for the club:

. ID checks were tightened for supporters who moved through the club's official expedition as for those traveling on their own. Without the preliminary identification, they were denied access to the visitor stands. Paris Saint-Germain announced the appointment of Leonardo
as the club's director of football
on a three-year deal. He was handed full control over PSG's sporting activities, especially in terms of recruitment, along with the reported 100 million Euro kitty promised by QIA. Robin Leproux - whose duties were seen to be incompatible with the powerful position created for Leonardo - was replaced by interim president Benoît Rousseau. as their new Delegate Director General. QIA confirmed that Blanc assumed the role to oversee all areas of the club's activities away from on-the-field affairs. Nenê was named "Player of the Month" for October by the UNFP with 65% of the votes. The LFP announced that travelling supporters would not be allowed to attend either of the meetings between bitter rivals Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain. Emirates have been a partner of Paris Saint-Germain since 2005 and the major shirt sponsor since January 2006. PSG were handed brand new home and away kits. The home shirt had a navy blue base colour with a red vertical band on the middle and two thinner white stripes around the band. The short was navy blue and had a slight horizontal red stripe on the back. The socks were navy blue as well and had two horizontal red stripes traversing the turnovers. The shirt featured a round white collar, the PSG logo sat below the neck, the white Nike logo was on the centre of the chest and the Fly Emirates sponsor sat across the middle, also in white text. The chosen colors and their alternation (blue-white-red-white-blue) honored the club's original graphic codes, while the design of the shirt was loyal to Daniel Hechter
's historical model. Nike wanted to go back in time with a version similar to the home shirt worn by PSG in the early 1980s
. The away shirt was mostly white. It featured a broad red horizontal band running across the upper part of the shirt, flanked by two narrower dark blue bands.
