On February 25, 2011, the Xbox 360 logo was removed from the North American website, leading to rumors that the console's version of the game would be canceled in North America. Currently it is listed as a PlayStation 3 exclusive in that region, with the Xbox 360 version scheduled for a late December 2011 release date. In Japan and Europe, the Xbox 360 version was released, alongside the PlayStation 3 version.

Gameplay

The game will support online co-op and competitive play for up to four people. The game will feature a much larger amount of blood and gore than previous Dynasty Warriors

games. The player will control characters from a third person perspective and will be required to face large amounts of enemies. The player will be able to use their shield as a weapon and will also use throwing weapons such as javelins and boulders, and will be able to pick up other soldiers and use them as weapons. Each character the player controls will have their own personality and fighting style.

There will be eight different heroes over the course of the two separate storylines. Each side, both Greek and Trojan, will have four major characters. The playable characters for the Greeks include Achilles

The game is set during the ten year Trojan War
