The Victoria Ska Fest is a music festival
that takes place every summer in Victoria
British Columbia

. The festival is organized and executed by the Victoria BC Ska Society and an army of volunteers. It is the longest running ska
festival in North America and had over 200 submissions for 2009, from bands and artists from around the world.
The first Victoria Ska Festival was a one-day event on August 12, 2000 at Market Square, Victoria
. The event was organaized by Dane Roberts to complete a practical term towards his degree at University of Victoria
. The first one featured The Scofflaws
, King Django
, Chris Murray and Pressure Cooker.
2011 marked the 12th anniversary of the festival and an expanded schedule, making the festival 5 days long, and incorporating a visual art component, the Rocksteady Collective Multi-Media Art Exhibit (an expansion of 2011's Sights and Stories Art Exhibit).
