Tamarack is a newer residential neighborhood in south east Edmonton
, Alberta
.
It is bounded on the south by 23 Avenue, on the north by Whitemud Drive
, on the west by 17 Street and on the east by Fulton Nature Reserve and undeveloped spaces. It stresses to have "a new perspective on community living".
Multi family developments (Duplexes and Townhomes) line the east border of the community. Currently there is an executive townhome complex under construction called "12th Street Station". Tamarack will be one of Dundee's (the developers) most beautiful communities and will have 620 acres (2.5 km²) of developed land, including over 67 acres (271,139.6 m²) of green spaces. They will include trails, ponds and stream courses, parks, playgrounds and natural reserves. The streets and pathways will be lined with trees that will add to the charm of this budding community.

Residential Development
The new development in South East Edmonton will be the home to classic and move up homes, while limiting the number of multi family developments in the area. Furthermore, it is supposed to be one of Edmonton's most walkable communities with trails and pathways that lead to almost anywhere within the community and adjoining neighborhoods. The community offers a central corridor of trails that help facilitate pedestrian traffic and add to the overall character of the neighborhood. The trails will be tree lined and landscaped; providing a central place for the neighborhood to gather.
