Seegräben is the smallest municipality in the district of Hinwil. It consists of three sections, the village of Seegräben, Aathal and Sack.
In the 2007 election the most popular party was the SVP
which received 33.1% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the SPS
(16.6%), the CSP
(15.7%) and the Green Party
(13.8%).

Seegräben has an area of 3.8 km² (1.5 sq mi). Of this area, 49.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 15.4% is forested.
