Saroki is a village in the Gujrat District
of Pakistan
, on the Sargodha road just before the town of Kunjah
. It is located on the bank of the Upper Jehlum canal, which runs into the Chenab river, one of the main five rivers in Punjab
. There is also one hydroelectric power plant on this canal at the place of Shadiwal
.
The darbar (shrine) of Pir Syed Ahmad Hussain Shah
Saroki is well known for the darbar
(shrine) of Pir Syed Ahmad Hussain Shah, who migrated here from his native village of Mangowal Gharbi, which is also in Gujrat district
. He was known as a great spiritual saint with immense influence in the surrounding villages. He hails from the family of Hafiz Syed Abdul Rahim Shah who was also a very renowned sufi of Gujrat and contributed immensely to the spread of Islam
from the late-19th century when he was responsible for the conversion of upto 100 villages from hindu's to muslims. Also Syed Arif Hussain Shah is buried alongside the Darbar. He was also a highly influential personality of Gujrat and Punjab level. He was highly gifted in the fields of religion, poetry, herbal medicine, music and was bestowed with deep knowledge in various fields.His son Syed Jaffar Hussain passed away at a young age in 2010.

With an average population of 10,000 the town's main source of income is farming. The main tribe of the village is the Jatt Malhi
