Montgomery plays for the Calderwood Inn in the Rutherglen / East Kilbride Darts League and the Roadhouse in the Glasgow Premier League. He is a multiple time Rutherglen / East Kilbride singles champion, however he lost the 2008 final to Chris Loudon
