and their postcode is entered into five draws each month. A monthly ticket for the lottery costs £10 (£2 per draw).

In each draw, one postcode (eg AB1 2DC) is drawn at random as the Street Prize winner. All players with that postcode win a share of the £30,000 Street Prize. All players in the winning postcode sector (eg AB1 2) share a £5,000 Sector Prize.

The prize money is divided between tickets. For example Mrs Jones plays with 3 tickets while her neighbours, Mr Smith, Mr MacDonald and Miss Evans all play with one ticket each. If their postcode is drawn as a Street Prize winner, Mrs Jones would receive £15,000 while Mr Smith, Mr MacDonald and Miss Evans would each get £5,000.

Other prizes include Postcode Bonus Streets, Postcode Party Streets and Winning Postcodes. In every draw:
  • 15 Bonus Street postcodes are drawn and every player in each winning postcode wins £100 per ticket.
  • 25 Party Streets postcodes are drawn and every player in each winning postcode wins £50 per ticket. A further
  • 500 winning postcodes are drawn and every player in each winning postcode wins £2 per ticket.

Several times a year, People’s Postcode Lottery holds Postcode Rollover events with a minimum prize pot of £1 million. Prize winners are announced at Postcode Rollover party events which take place in or near the winning postcode. Half the prize money is shared between players in the winning postcode and the rest is split between players in the winning postcode sector.
