Pat Audinwood is an American
professional mixed martial arts
(MMA) fighter who competes in the lightweight
division. Nickname
d "Awesomely Awesome", Audinwood has been a professional MMA competitor since 2007, competing mostly in the north-east circuit in the U.S.

Audinwood's nickname
was coined by his cousin in a discussion with a ring announcer at one of Audinwood's fights. Audinwood was answering no to a question about having a nickname when his cousin interrupted: "Yeah," said Franchi, "his nickname is Awesome ... Awesomely Awesome".

. Fighting for the same promotion around two months later, Audinwood claimed a unanimous decision victory.
After a further two victories, Audinwood competed for his first MMA title in the Battle Cage Xtreme (BCX) 4 event. Fighting against Lester Caslow, Audinwood was victorious with a unanimous decision thus becoming the BCX Lightweight Champion. His next match was a title defense against Andrew Montanez, which ended in the only draw of Audinwood's career to date. Just two months later, however, Audinwood gained a measure of revenge at the Raging Wolf Rumble in the Rez event, defeating Montanez via majority decision.
Audinwood's highest exposure matchup took place in April 2010, when he competed for the M-1 Global
organisation, in the "Americas Round 1" event. His opponent was Robert Conner, who narrowly failed to make weight. Audinwood would go on to win via unanimous decision, a victory that brought him offers of contracts with both M-1 Global and the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC).
