History

The presence of Pakistanis in Qatar can be traced back to the 1950s when early community members arrived and settled. The Pakistani community then was popular for its organising of cricket matches on the grounds of the Doha

 airport until the 1960s. Many teams and clubs were established which still exist to date.
Pakistanis settled peacefully and integrated quickly into the society. The local community accepted the Pakistani community easily as there were similarities in culture, tradition and faith along with other factors.
Pakistanis are an active part of the community in Qatar and have made major contributions to the country.

Pakistan Engineers Forum
