(sister paper of the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal) published an essay by Mr Dmitriev’s headlined “Crisis: five rules for survival”,. In the article Kirill Dmitriev warned that the current crisis would be a prolonged one and suggested that the following rules should be followed to survive it:
  1. Don't cherish hopes for a quick recovery.
  2. Avoid dramatic growth in unemployment.
  3. Support private enterprise.
  4. Defending one's current positions is not enough, move forward onto new territory.
  5. Avoid open confrontation, use levers of influence.
