Verbicky showed inherent talent as early as the age of four when instructors noticed his premature ability to draw three-dimensional objects. He was then enrolled in an adult oil painting class. Verbicky continued to paint steadily on his own, using acrylics, oils, and found objects to create large abstract and figurative works.
