History

Iration began in Isla Vista, CA, the small college town connected to UC Santa Barbara. Forming out of various garage jam sessions at one of their houses on Camino Corto, they began to play backyard parties (especially Isla Vista's famous Del Playa Drive

) and local events for the endless supply of students. They played IRIE music. They since have moved to play in other college towns such as Cal Poly SLO, Chico State and UC Davis. On May 1, 2009 the concert in Davis donated proceeds to Camp Kesem

 and was planned by Alpha Epsilon Pi

Building on their growing popularity, they released their New Roots EP in 2006. Playing numerous shows in Isla Vista, Downtown Santa Barbara and throughout California, they solidified their presence as they were able to develop an extensive fan base while networking with other California bands in the scene. In 2007, they recorded and released their first full length album No Time for Rest at Castaway 7 Studios in Ventura, Ca, which featured "In This Generation Time" as one of the last recorded performances by reggae legend Mikey Dread

On October 3, 2008 Iration released their second EP Sample This featuring the single "Falling," where it debuted as the #3 top-selling reggae albums world-wide on itunes. The Pier said of the EP: "The Sample This EP was probably close to the perfect four songs you could release together at the one time."

Iration has recently recorded four new songs two of which were co-written by Grammy Award Winner Charles Brotman. They continue to tour extensively and look forward to bringing their sound to an even larger audience.

Currently Iration is working on their second full-length album. Since the release of "Sample This" Iration has headlined sold-out shows at venues: The Roxy Theatre Hollywood, Downtown Brew Co SLO, Kona Bowl Hawaii, Hard Rock Cafe Lahaina, Univ. of Hawaii at Hilo, and Velvet Jones Santa Barbara.

On March 9, Iration released their second full length album "Time Bomb". The much anticipated album topped the reggae genre boards on iTunes. The album has remained in the top 10 ever since in exclusive company such as, Rebelution, Damian Marley, Bob Marley.
