, yet the first specimen, discovered, or more accurately, re-discovered, by Ieuan Evans, had been growing in a local garden since the 1920s. Mr. Evans once thought it originated in Minnesota but according to more recent reports he believes it may have come from Alaska where they were given out to settlers.
