History

Concordian International School (Concordian) was founded in August 2001 by school sponsor Varnnee Chearavanont Ross, who is part of the Chearavanont family. Concordian moved from its old campus in Thana City, Thailand in 2006 to the new campus at Bangkaew.

The school’s name is taken from the Old French concorde and from the Latin concordia, meaning “agreement” or “union”, and also from con, meaning together, and cor meaning heart: literally, "hearts together",

Sports

Concordian belongs to the TISAC league for sports. They compete regularly in under 11 and senior in soccer and basketball. Students also play individual sports, including swimming, golf, and tennis competitively against other schools.

There are three Mascots for Concordian International School - all of them are Dragons. The MYP Dragon pictured is designed by Thomas Adam Johnson, a Canadian teacher and artist who graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design.
