History

The league's original intentions were to be with eastern and western leagues. This plan was modified to have multiple Ontario teams and one Quebec location in the first year.

The first three teams announced in 2011 were franchises in Ohsweken, Peterborough, and Montreal. An article in July listed a team in London. Of the original three, only Oshweken is still scheduled to play. With only three teams, the league decided two teams should operate in each announced location, leading to the creation of the Iroquois, Peel, and Durham teams; Rodney Hill will operate the two Oshweken teams, but the league will own the other clubs initially.

The inaugural game will take place January 7, 2012 at 13:00 EST in Ohsweken. The game will be between the Brampton Killer Bzz and the Iroquois Ironmen. The game will be a part of a triple header in Ohsweken to commemorate the beginning of league play.
