Brampton Inferno is a professional lacrosse team, schedule to play in the Canadian Lacrosse League
. It is owned by Tim Ursu, Trevor Reid and Marc Olimpo. There first game is to be on January 6 or 7, 2012. It, along with the Peel Avengers, will play out of the Powerade Centre
.
The team ownership was confirmed June 19.
Original publicity in July listed the team as the Brampton Bzz; soon after, the Guardian corrected their name to Brampton Killer Bzz. By October 2011, when announcing the Peel Avengers, the Guardian didn't mention the organization had been renamed again. Brampton will be competing versus the Iroquois Ironmen, Oshawa Machine, Durham Turfdogs, Peel Avengers, and the Ohsweken Demons.
