Beginning in Uruguay

The band formed in 1985, made from the beginning by Charly D. Lopez (vocals), Gustavo Rea (bass), Gustavo "Tycho" Artigas (guitar), Clement "Bhil" Lopez (guitar) - who left the group in '88 Leonardo entering Lamela (guitar) and Jorge Villar (drums) developed his debut in Montevideo and surroundings, gradually getting the attention of an audience eager for new proposals.

In 1986, they recorded their first demo, including the song "Fields of Blood," and reminded participants of Montevideo Rock Festival with great success.

The following year he signed to Orpheus and recorded their first album on vinyl, on the edge. The presentation of the album was performed sold-out in the Odeon Theatre in Montevideo. With this work Alvacast travels inside the country, and is positioned as an important number in the "Uruguayan rock" back then.

That same year Alvacast presented in Buenos Aires in the series "Rock of First" (which acted Charly Garcia, Riff, La Torre, among others), to do so then the Rock Theatre in November with Kamikaze Argentina

By 1988 the band consolidates. The trade press from around the world recognizes the work and quality of the band. Magazines in Europe say their records and activities.

Participate in Montevideo Rock II. They do some shows in pubs and clubs in Buenos Aires throughout the year, working with Dr. Jekyll, Retrosatan, and Hermetic among others.

In December of '88 travel to Chile where they occur in the capital Santiago de Chile and perform two shows: one at the Estadio Manuel Plaza where technical performance of the band did not meet public expectations and a second show, spectacular and much discussed by the trans-press at the Chile Stadium before more than four thousand (4,000) people.

In 1989 they recorded their second album Innocent ... Until proven otherwise also by Orfeo label records. The good effect of the band in Argentina led to Radio Tripoli Alvacast interested in and edited the group's second album in Argentina. Also publish their two albums in Chile and Venezuela.
They play with Rata Blanca, Lethal, and Jaf Alakran in Argentina nightclub Halley.

Years in Canada

After trying versioning your songs in English and after publishing a limited number of discs in the United States decide to undertake the trip. The band decided to fully migrate to Canada. Debuted at Station 10 in Montreal

As the child begins to adapt to life in Montreal, Canada and begin to perform shows in small pubs, in Uruguay the third paper is published: "Alvacast Collector" by Perro Andaluz, is a compilation of tapes recorded in Montevideo.
