unit. It was last assigned to the 10th Tactical Fighter Wing, stationed at RAF Alconbury

. It was inactivated on 30 December 1992
with A-24 Banshees (the USAAF version of the Navy Douglas SBD Dauntless
). Converted to a P-39 Aircobra squadron in August and finally into a P-47 Thunderbolt
