The 2013 Formula One season will be the 64th season of the FIA
Formula One World Championship
. 2013 will be the final year the series uses the current 2.4 litre V8 engine configuration, with the introduction of a more environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient 1.6 litre V6 turbocharged engine system planned to occur in 2014. The 2013 season will see the addition of the Grand Prix of America
to the series schedule, the race to be held at the Port Imperial Street Circuit
