The 2007 SuperLiga
, the inaugural edition of the SuperLiga competition, was held from July 24 to August 29, 2007. The eight clubs participating in the 2007 tournament were chosen by invitation.
In 2008, the Major League Soccer

has determined that the last four semi-annual champions will compete.
