Population

In area lives an order of 1,2 million persons (2010, an estimation). The population is presented more, than 100 nationalities and nationalities. About 65 % of resident population Kazakhs make. The least concentration of Kazakhs is observed to Taraz (Dzhambul) though and there their share has grown from 23 % in 1989 to 60 % in 2009.
