Redevelopment

In 2004 a 3-stage redevelopment process commenced. This aimed to increase the number of potential customers. A series of refurbishments took place; including the construction of 2 multi-storey car park

s and restoration of a third, the relocation of the bus terminal, the extension of the Shopping Centre on the North-Eastern side, and general improvements to the inside appearance of the shopping locations.

In May 2005, the first major stage of development was completed, with the opening of Coles, as well as many other smaller shops in a corridor towards Target. This included the refurbishment of the entrances, and general appearance of the walkways. Part of this development included the opening of 2 multi-storey car-parks on the South-Western side.

In December 2006, a new-look food court was opened. It contains Subway and McDonald's as the two major food outlets, and also a pizzeria, a kebab shop, a Sri Lankan food establishment, and a sandwich bar. Additionally the food court also contains Donut King and Boost Juice.

The second stage of development was officially completed in 8th March 2007, with the opening of Big W. This included a number of smaller shops, and a restored car-park on the North-Eastern side.

On the 19th of October 2007 Nandos opened. It is located next to the Coles Supermarkets Coles entrance.

On 29 January 2008 the Village Cinemas closed down, in order to make way for the major businesses of Aldi and Best and Less. These retailers opened at the end of 2008.
