The 2012 United States House of Representatives elections in Washington will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 to elect the ten U.S. Representatives
from the state, one from each of the state's ten congressional districts, a gain of one seat following the 2010 United States Census. The elections will coincide with the elections of other federal and state offices, including a quadrennial presidential election

in Washington is the responsibility of the five-member bi-partisan state Redistricting Commission. The Commission will need to send its finalized plan to the state legislature
by December 31, 2011, which can only make minor changes to the map with a two-thirds supermajority
. The map will be put into effect in February 2012. It is speculated that the Redistricting Commission will draw the new 10th district in either Thurston County or northeastern King County
. The 3rd district may shift eastward, towards Benton County
or Yakima County
, while the 9th district may move north or south.

Republican James Watkins, a businessman and unsuccessful candidate for the 1st district in 2010, will run again.
