In 2007-08, the Petes were still in rebuilding mode, as Cann had a 20-28-3 record, a 3.59 GAA and a .906 save percentage, as Peterborough qualified for the playoffs. In five playoff games, Cann had a 1-4 record with a 3.97 GAA and a .902 save percentage as Peterborough was eliminated in the first round.
Cann began the 2008-09 season with Peterborough, however, he was traded to the London Knights
