. The Swiss confectioner manufactures, by hand, over 200 varieties of confections and pastries. Its signature confection is the Champagne Truffles, the first of its kind.

The company is an old-world confectioner and patissier that creates hundreds of confections based on chocolates and some without. Their celebrated Champagne Truffles are made with Dom Perignon champagne. Each is made with buttercream and Dom Perignon mixture surrounded by dark cream ganache made from 66% dark base chocolate. Teuscher is legendary in its zeal for the best natural ingredients. He travels to Asia to source his ginger, to California for his Chili and most importantly specifies a very specific blend of cacao for his base chocolates.

Its dark chocolate smoothness is unparalleled even by the best of French brands like Richart and Debauve et Gallais Paris. In fact, many trained palates would say that only a few brands such as Payard, Jacques Torres, Pierre Herme, and Fauchon can come close in its smoothness.

They fly their celebrated Champagne Truffles from Switzerland every week to their store locations around the globe such as Rockefeller Center, New York City, Chicago, Beverly Hills, CA, San Francisco, CA, Palo Alto [ Stanford Shopping Center], CA, Las Vegas, NV, Portland, OR, and Austin, TX.

Food critics such as Mimi Sheraton of the New York Times and Gael Greene of New York Magazine have dubbed the chocolatier the best all-around in the world.

Aside from their incredibly wide-ranging selection of truffles, pralines, marzipan and other items, Teuscher also manufactures chocolate bars of high distinction including special dark chocolate ranging from 55% to 99% in increments of 11%. While all the types are not available in all sizes, the chocolate bars come in 25 gram, 50 gram, and 100 gram sizes.
