The village is located about 15 km south of the Palakkad district headquarters. The Tattamangalam-Chittur municipality is situated in the banks of the river Sokanashini (commonly called Chittur Puzha).

Naludesam comprised the four adjoining “Desams”, Chittur, Nalleppilly, Tattamangalam, and Pattancherri.
